Grant Will Help With Housing Services

One Safe Place is looking for landlords to participate in an innovative new program designed to help as many as fifty victims of domestic violence. Beginning next month the shelter will use a $600,000 grant it received from the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services to their clients with rent, utilities, furnishing, and child care. Those clients will be required to work during their transitional period to independence. They will also receive counseling and other services during that time. Potential landlords are urged to contact One Safe Place for more information.
