New Shopping Center Approved By Planning Commission

A Save Mart grocery store may soon be open in Redding. The panning commission approved the 150,000 square project at its meeting Tuesday. The center at Churn Creek and Bonnyview could feature the grocery store, and eight other retail pads, two fast food restaurants, a sit down restaurant, and a coffee shop. The proposed center is directly cross the freeway from where Costco is proposing a new 152,000 square foot store. They have signed a letter of intent with the city, but have not developed a site plan.

The planning commission also approved plans for Bethel Church to revise their plans at the Redding Civic Auditorium. They expect their enrollment a the School of Supernatural Ministry to expand by over 200 in the next two years.
