Bicyclist Killed In North Redding Identified

The coroner’s office has identified the bicyclist who was killed last week after being struck by a pickup in North Redding. 58-year-old Kim Pyles of Redding was riding south on Lake Boulevard when he was struck by a Dodge pickup driven by 36-year-old Melissa Johnson of Redding. Police say that Johnson blew the red light at Boulder Drive as Pyles was riding in the crosswalk. He was taken to Mercy Medical Center where he passed away.
