A 62-year-old man died in a motor home fire in South Redding Tuesday night. Redding Firefighters were dispatched at around 11:30PM after an explosion next to a warehouse in the area of Branstetter Circle and Branstetter Lane. They found an RV fully involved in fire. After knocking down the flames firefighters entered the RV and found a man dead. The man was known to be a hoarder, he had a history of medical problems, and was a heavy smoker. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The man’s identity has not been released, but an autopsy is planned for next week. Investigators do not suspect foul play.
