Mother Accused Of Abusing Infant

A 20-year-old woman has been arraigned on charges of felony child abuse from injuries suffered by her 4-month-old baby. On Saturday the baby’s father brought the infant boy to an emergency room with significant injuries that apparently occurred while the baby was in the care of his mother, Arielle Woolley. The Shasta County District Attorney’s Office says Woolley admitted that she had gotten angry and “blacked out” as she picked the baby up from his bassinet and dropped him onto the wood laminate floor. That was after she first tried to blame the injuries on her two other children, a 4-year-old and one-year-old.
