Tap water in the Keswick area may not be safe to drink. The Shasta County Department of Public Works has issued an advisory to customers in water service area 25. Due to a recent leak and repair in the main line, continuous pressure was not maintained, making it vulnerable to microbiological contamination. Before drinking, Keswick residents should boil their water for at least one minute. The boil water advisory will remain in effect until otherwise announced, which is expected to be Friday.
