Redding Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man who robbed the owner of Sunset Cleaners Monday morning. The owner says he was robbed at gunpoint at around 6:30AM as he was opening the store at 3649 Eureka Way. The suspect is described as a white man in his 30’s who was wearing a beanie cap. His face was partially covered. The suspect apparently brandished a handgun and was given an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot. While officers were searching the area, a citizen called to report that they had found a replica handgun in the street at Yuba and Butte Streets downtown. The replica gun matched the description of the firearm used in the robbery. Anyone with information should call Redding Police.
