A Red Bluff thief is going to prison. 27-year-old David Vance was arrested in 2013 after stealing an air compressor. The victim saw the compressor offered for sale on the Internet and told Red Bluff Police. Vance claimed he was selling it for his brother. When he was arrested he had a gram and a half of Methamphetamine on him and while being booked a needle was found during a body cavity search. A year later Vance was sentenced to eleven years for bringing contraband into jail, with half the sentence to be served in jail and half to be served on supervised release. He violated the terms of his release by failing to report to the probation department, so he’s been sentenced to another 5 years 8 months in jail.
