The Redding Rancheria has petitioned federal and state officials to build the new 140,000 square foot casino and and a 250-room hotel, along with a convention center near the South Bonnyview exit. The new complex would replace the Win-River Casino and Hotel on Highway 273 which would be converted to a different use, according to a public notice from the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs. The notice says that the bureau is preparing an environmental impact statement and will hold a public meeting at the McLaughlin Auditorium on December 21st to discuss its findings.
