The Redding Planning Commission is set to take up plans for a 97-unit complex with affordable housing for seniors. The five acre site near the proposed Dignity Health Wellness Campus at Cypress and Hartnell would be open to anyone 62 or older and will feature one and two bedroom units. Central California Housing of Clovis submitted its permit application in September. Approval from the planning commission will allow the firm to apply for grants and loans to fund construction.Central California Housing has other sites in Chico and Yreka.
