Man Arrested After Allegedly Fighting With Deputies

The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office says a man was arrested after throwing a variety of large heavy objects at one of their deputies. At 9:30PM Wednesday night deputies responded to a report of a man trying to force his way into a home on South Center Street in Los Molinos. The first arriving deputy saw 33-year-old Donald Michael Gosnell walking away from the home and contacted him. Gosnell allegedly responded by throwing items at the deputy ranging from rocks to lumber, which smashed out the rear window of the patrol car.  More deputies arrived and fought with Gosnell while taking him into custody. Deputies sustained minor injuries, as did Gosnell. He was cleared at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital and then booked into jail for resisting arrest and 4 counts of assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer.
