The U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs will hold a public meeting Wednesday night to discuss a proposed 140,000 square-foot casino and a 250 room hotel in the Churn Creek Bottom. The Redding Rancheria wants to build the complex on 232 acres on the west side of Interstate Five off of South Bonnyview. The proposal also includes a convention center and retail spaces. It would be built where Costco and Save Mart are also planning stores, and would replace the tribes current casino off of Highway 273. The meeting gets underway Wednesday night at 6PM at the McLaughlin Auditorium at Sequoia Middle School.
