The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office has found their alleged cattle rustler. On New Years Day Arthur Thomas reported that someone had stolen a 1-month-old Black Angus calf from his ranch in Flournoy. Thomas said the calf was stolen sometime in the previous week by 27-year-old Daniel Humphrey. Investigators found the calf and returned it to Thomas, but they were unable to locate Humphrey. On Tuesday Humphrey contacted a sheriff’s detective and he was interviewed and then arrested for cattle theft.
