A 26-year-old Redding man is going to prison after blowing several chances at alternatives. Dylan Duclos has a lengthy criminal record. In September of 2015 Duclos assaulted his mother at her victor avenue home. When his mother’s fiancee arrived at the apartment and learned of the attack he confronted Duclos, there was an altercation, and the older man used a knife to defend himself, stabbing Duclos in the back. In November of last year Duclos approached someone sitting in their car in a driveway on Kiwi Lane off Old 44 Drive. Duclos demanded the vehicle, at one point holding a knife to the victim’s throat, but the victim was able to drive away unharmed. Duclos left on foot but was found later in Cottonwood and arrested. He was on felony probation at the time. He was sentenced Tuesday to seven years in state prison.
