81-Year-old Woman Killed In Crash In North Redding

The name of the victim in a fatal North Redding traffic collision has been released by the Shasta County Coroner’s Office. At around 4 O’clock Monday afternoon 81-year-old Dollie Popoff was driving a Kia sedan on Mountain Lakes Boulevard and stopped at the stopsign at Beltline Road. She then pulled into the lane, directly into the path of a northbound Ford Windstar van driven by 52-year-old Darla Corbell. The van broadsided the small car and Dollie Popoff died at the scene. Corbell was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts and Redding Police say there was no sign of of alcohol or drugs.
