Deputies Arrest Man Who Allegedly Robbed Gas Station

An arrest has been made in last Monday morning’s robbery of the Pine Grove 76 station. A man in a mask went into the business and grabbed at the open cash drawer, then held a knife to the cashier’s throat after she slammed the drawer shut. Nadine Young struggled with the robber before he fled on foot. A review of the surveillance footage showed 25-year-old Christopher Dunne buying alcohol 3 days before the robbery wearing the same unique-looking hoodie worn by the robber. Dunne lives near the store, in the direction the robber was seen running. When sheriff’s detectives showed up at Dunne’s place Friday afternoon he had all his things packed and was about to move to Louisiana. The sheriff’s office says there doesn’t appear to be any connection to a string of other robberies in the area.
