Alleged Shoplifter Caught After Nearly 2 Weeks

An arrest has been made in the case of a food thief in the City of Shasta Lake who injured a Sentry Market employee with a rock. A little after 7:30PM on January 26th a shoplifter was followed by employees who tried to stop him. As he ran toward his awaiting friends at Claire Engle Park, the thief picked up a rock and threw at one of the employees, causing a minor injury. One of the accomplices in the park threw another rock and damaged the vehicle of someone who had stopped to help the injured employee.The man and his friends then fled the scene. Saturday morning deputies encountered 21-year-old Dennis William Marrow near Washington and Main. It was determined that he was the food stealing rock throwing man, and he was arrested.
