A stolen motorcycle was chased at very high speed through corning until the rider was undone by a puddle. At 1:45AM Saturday morning a Tehama County Deputy saw the motorcycle speeding southbound on Highway 99W near Gyle Road. He tried to stop it but the rider pushed the Kawasaki to well over 100 miles an hour as it entered the streets of Corning. Deputies were joined by Corning Police as they chased the motorcycle around town. Eventually the rider lost control in a large puddle, forcing him to stop and surrender. The bike had been stolen from Chico. 32-year-old Edward Reginald Thomas of Gerber was booked into jail for felony evading, possession of stolen property and riding without a license.
