Man Killed By Train In Downtown Redding

A man was killed by a train in Downtown Redding Thursday night. At around 9:45PM a northbound Union Pacific locomotive engineer reported that a man was lying on the tracks near the Eureka Way overcrossing. As the train approached and the horn sounded the man didn’t move and the train could not stop in time. The identity of the deceased is not yet known.
