The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a dead man who was found in the Klamath River Monday. The body of 62-year-old Jesse Francis ward of Happy Camp was found partially submerged about 8 miles north of Yreka near a home off Highway 96. The body had come to rest in a difficult to access location and had to be recovered by boating deputies and the dive team. The case is being investigated as a homicide pending the results of an autopsy, which is scheduled for Wednesday.
