Burglary Reported At Redding Construction Company

Returning to the scene of the crime proved foolish for some burglars early Sunday morning, according to Redding Police. At around 3AM officers responded to a burglar alarm at Liddell Contruction Supply on Churn Creek Road and found the front door had been smashed open. They checked video surveillance and saw two men and a woman breaking in and stealing several thousand dollars worth of generators, which they loaded into a rented U-haul pickup truck. Police were still on scene when the same pickup returned to the area with two men inside. 25-year-old Robert Levi Stevens is on probation for drug possession, while 33-year-old Daniel Harrington is on probation for grand theft and had multiple warrants. Investigators say they found evidence of the break in but the generators were missing, so they went to Stevens’ home on River Valley Drive in Anderson. Daric Boughton, who’s on probation for theft, was in the house but he refused to open the door so officers forced their way in and found all the stolen goods from the Liddell burglary. The identity of the woman seen in surveillance is not known.
