A former Shasta County Sheriff Sergeant has appeared on a national reality show, and he has appeared with no clothes on. 45-year-old Jason Gassaway was featured Sunday night on the Discovery Channel show “Naked and Afraid”, a survival show that drops two people into a wilderness with a bag of supplies and no clothing. Gassaway was a member of the sheriff’s SWAT team. In 2009 he shot a bank robber who was holding hostages at the U.S. Bank in Burney. In 2006 he was the deputy of the year. The “Naked and Afraid” episode, which was shot in Belize, will air again Tuesday night at 5 O’clock.
