A man was shot by Yreka Police Officers Monday night, according to a posting on the Yreka Police Facebook page. At around 7 O’clock officers were dispatched to Sandpiper Road on a report of an armed man acting irrationally. They arrived to find 37-year-old Robert Uhl in front of the home with a gun in his hand. He apparently refused to drop his weapon and was shot. Uhl is in critical condition at Fairchild Medical Center. The 3 officers involved in the shooting are on administrative leave.
