Man Appears In Court For 2015 Crime Spree

A 30-year-old man has been arraigned for his part in an alleged violent crime spree in October of 2015. Sergio Martinez of the Bronx has several codefendants, including Jose Luna, Elioenaid Rivera and two brothers both named Felix Ruben Ayala. They’re accused of the murder of 61-year-old Bradley Stephen Yoder at his house on Shasta View Drive, an attempted robbery with a shot fired at a Shasta Lake home, a home invasion robbery in the town of Live Oak in Sutter County, and the armed robbery of the Bare Roots hydroponics store on East Cypress Avenue. A trial had begun for Jose Luna and one of the Ayala brothers in November but it was cut short when one of the defense attorneys had a conflict arise. The case against Martinez is being prosecuted by Emily Mees. He was in court Monday and will return on April 10th.
