Man Sentenced To Prison For DUI Crash

A 25-year-old Tehama County man is going to prison for a drunk driving crash. Last September 24th Leartis Kamau Caradine was at a party with friends, and he was supposed to be the designated driver. He drank too much anyway, and at the end of the evening he tried to drive his friends home. He was too intoxicated though, and at some point the car drifted to the edge of the roadway, Caradine lost control of it, and the car rolled over multiple times, coming to rest on its roof. When emergency personnel arrived, one of the passengers was still trapped inside. Convicted of felony drunk driving with a special allegation of causing great bodily injury, Caradine was sentenced this week to 4 years 4 months in state prison.
