Authorities Raid Property With Cache Of Stolen Goods

The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office says they’ve found a massive stockpile of stolen goods at a property just over the county line in Orland. A search warrant was served Friday night at the property on Newville Road after a CHP airplane did a flyover and spotted a number of vehicles that had been reported stolen. In addition to motorcycles, cars and pickups, officials say they also found chain saws, tree climbing equipment, computers, and a wide variety of tools. Identified victims include Phil’s Towing, Corning Lumber, Bambauer Towing, Linnet’s Tire Shop, Orland Saw and Mower, the Chico Police Department, and many individuals. The prolific hoarding burglar is believed to be 33-year-old Michael Anthony Rogers. He hasn’t been home since Friday’s raid and his whereabouts are unknown. His photo is on our Facebook page.
