Redding Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly pointed a gun at a woman while allegedly trying to steal her car. Police say that around 6AM Monday 42-year-old Susan Elliott arrived at her job in the 1900 block or Hilltop Drive. She said that as she was parking her vehicle a man who looked to be in his 60’s approached. The man went to the drivers side and pointed an unknown type of caliber handgun at her and demanded the keys to her vehicle. Elliott refused and drove off. Police searched the area but the man was not located. He is described as a heavy set white man about 60-years-old. He had a gray beard and was wearing a beige and green baseball hat, a dark jacket, and was carrying some type of hand bag.
