Northstate history was made on Friday as Shasta County’s first ever female district attorney was formally sworn in. Stephanie Bridgett was appointed last month to finish the remainder of Stephen Carlton’s term following his retirement. For her swearing in ceremony on Friday, a courtroom was stuffed beyond capacity.
