Mother & Father Admit To Smoking Meth Near Toddler

A Redding couple has admitted to exposing a toddler to drugs. Shericka Davis and Aaron Segrest were the subject of a probation search on March 8th at a Redding motel room. Officers with Redding’s Neighborhood Police unit found Methamphetamine and Meth paraphernalia that was left within reach of a 2-year-old who was in the room with the couple, who are apparently the child’s parents. Both of them admitted to smoking Meth in the enclosed room with the toddler present. They pled no contest Tuesday to felony child endangerment. In exchange for their pleas, a 6-year prison sentence for each of them has been suspended, but they must complete a one-year parenting class and submit to drug testing and searches anytime.
