Redding Police have released surveillance footage of an attempted carjacking late last month, and a reward is offered is by Secret Witness. It happened at around 6 O’clock the morning of March 27th in the parking lot of Marie Calendar’s on Hilltop Drive. Susan Elliott arrived at her job and as she was parking her car a man who looked to be in his 60’s approached. He went to the drivers side and pointed a handgun at her, demanding the keys to her vehicle. Elliott refused and simply drove off as the man fled to the north. Police searched the area but the armed man was not located. He’s described as a heavy set white man about 60-years-old. He had a gray beard and was wearing a beige and green baseball hat, a dark jacket, and was carrying some type of hand bag. The surveillance footage can be seen on our Facebook Page.
