A body found in the wreckage of a burnt house in Hayfork last month has been identified. The house fire started at around 7:30PM the night of March 29th on North Vista Lane in Hayfork. When firefighters arrived the 2500 square foot house was fully engulfed in flames. The next morning as fire crews were mopping up the scene, they found the body of a person among the ashes. The Trinity County Sheriff’s Office said they would try to determine identity through dental records. The remains have been confirmed to be those of the homeowner, 87-year-old David Becker.
