Armed robbers were caught on surveillance video as they hit an East Redding cell phone store last week. At 6 O’clock Thursday night two men walked into the Metro PCS Store on Hartnell Avenue at School Street, one of them brandishing a handgun. They demanded and received cash before they fled. Footage from a camera at a nearby business led investigators to identify them as 53-year-old Dennis Carl Chandler and 55-year-old James Patrick Alsip. Chandler has been arrested 42 times in Shasta County since 2001 and Alsip 32 times since 1992. They were last seen on Apollo Lane and are considered armed and dangerous.
