A Redding man survived being hit by a train overnight, but he’s in critical condition. Despite his critical injuries, 37-year-old Edmund Jung actually walked away after being struck by a locomotive near Buenavantura and Highway 273. The impact was reported by the northbound freight train crew at around 12:45AM and Redding Police Officers found Jung nearby. They say he was drunk. He was transported to a hospital.
