There are some major changes coming to Victor Avenue in Redding, and work starts right away. Sunrise Construction breaks ground next Monday and when the project is done in October there will be two new roundabouts at the intersections with Galaxy Way and Marlene Avenue. The plans also include curb improvements at Vega and at Conifer. Flashing beacons and a median will be installed at Shelby Road and a concrete barrier will be built on the west side of the bridge over Churn Creek to protect pedestrians. A footpath will be built from Galaxy to Conifer. There will also be more streetlights installed. The work will be done 7AM and 5PM. Obviously, drivers will want to avoid Victor Avenue for the next six months, if possible.
