Suspected Honey Oil Lab Busted In North Redding

An Oregon man has been busted with a Butane Honey Oil lab near Redding Fire Station Number 6 on Beltline Road. Sunday night a firefighter heard loud music and saw lights coming from a warehouse that had been empty for many years. Suspecting trespassers, he called Redding Police. When officers got there they approached quietly and were met by a growling dog running at them, which one of them pepper-sprayed. Two men then came running out of the building and they were detained. They said the building was an auto shop and they were working on cars, but the officers smelled a very strong odor of Marijuana so they went inside and found a fully functional Butane Honey Oil lab and trash bags full of Marijuana. One of the men was eventually released and 25-year-old John Dale Kealiher was booked into jail on a Half-Million Dollars bail. Officers still don’t know if the men were trespassing or not.
