Northbound Interstate Five is moving again following the removal of a wrecked car. A Honda Insight rolled multiple times after it was struck by a big rig, which then fled the scene. The elderly man driving the Honda was assisted out of the vehicle by other drivers. He was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries. The CHP is still looking for the responsible big rig, described as a red semi with a white box trailer. There’s collision damage on the driver’s side of the trailer. The collision happened between Bowman Road and the Cottonwood Creek bridge at 12:12 and the roadway was cleared shortly after One O’clock.
