Redding Fire assisted Cal-Fire on two blazes that broke out late Wednesday afternoon on the outskirts of town. At 4:45PM a fire started off Old Oregon Trail near Tarcy Way. Apparently a bird flew into a power line and sparked that blaze. It was held to one acre. Less than an hour later a fire was reported at the Pick-N-Pull wrecking yard on Viking Way. Several vehicles in the yard were on fire.
