There were two residential fires in Redding early Thursday morning. A fire at a house on Irwin Road was confined to a bedroom mattress. Redding Firefighters were then called to the Park West Apartments on Dana Drive. A fire at a 6-plex 2-story building is believed to have started on the patio area and climbed into the balcony and then the attic. Two of the apartment units were heavily damaged.
