A body found in a Trinity County creek has been identified. The woman’s decomposing body was discovered July 1st in a creek near Big Bar. No evidence was found at the scene to indicate that the woman had been the victim of a crime. Last Thursday an autopsy was done, which allowed the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office to positively identify the body as that of 30-year-old Ayette Dial, a Pennsylvania woman who had been reported missing to the Humboldt and Trinity County Sheriff’s Offices. The cause of death is pending toxicology results.
