Officers Capture Masseuse Driving Stolen Car

A man seeking a massage had his car stolen instead. Saturday morning a man called Anderson Police to say 40-year-old Mildred Romans had borrowed his Toyota Avalon two days earlier and refused to give it back, even though he had asked for it repeatedly and threatened to call the police. The officer who took the report knew that Romans advertised her massage services on Craigslist, so he started texting her as if he were a customer. She told him the prices of her services, told him to bring a Mountain Dew, and they agreed to meet at an Anderson motel. When Romans got to the motel she saw all the police cars and kept driving, but officers caught up to her, pulled her over and arrested her for car theft and a felony warrant. She didn’t get her Mountain Dew.
