We now know the name of a man who died in a crash in Happy Valley last week. A little after 1AM Friday a Dodge 2500 pickup and a 1995 Buick Roadmaster collided head-on on Happy Valley Road just south of Strawberry Lane. When CHP Officers got there the Buick was on fire and the driver was still inside. He died a couple of hours later at Mercy Medical Center. The Shasta County Coroner’s Office has identified him as 38-year-old Steven Edward Shields, and his family has been notified. The driver of the pickup, 50-year-old Edwin Boyce Jr, had minor injuries. He was arrested for felony DUI. 38-year-old Tiffani Boyce was ejected on impact and suffered major injuries. Two other passengers were unharmed.
