Boil Water Advisory Issued For Mount Shasta City

Residents of Mount Shasta City are being advised to boil their drinking water after E.Coli bacteria was reportedly found in the city’s water supply. Residents are being told to boil water to kill the bacteria or to use bottled water. Residents can also use fresh unscented liquid bleach to make the water safe to drink. Add 1/8 of a teaspoon of bleach per gallon for clear water or a 1/4 teaspoon for for cloudy water. Be sure to mix the water thoroughly and let it sit for 30 minutes before drinking. The boil advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
