A woman has been arrested for arson. 34-year-old Jessica Fore of Redding is accused of intentionally starting a vegetation fire shortly after Noon Monday near Olinda Road and Erma Lane in the Happy Valley area. An alert passerby saw the quickly spreading vegetation fire and took charge. The fire was under control before firefighters arrived. As they approached they saw Fore walking briskly away. She’s been booked into jail on suspicion of arson, as well as two felony warrants. Cal-Fire encourages people to keep an eye out for suspicious behavior and take note of the time and location of an incident and a suspicious person’s gender, height, weight, hair color, clothing and any distinguishing characteristics.
