Search Recovers Stolen Mustang During Probation Search

A probation search led to the recovery of some valuable stolen goods, according to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office. Tuesday morning deputies were joined by SINTF Drug Agents, the CHP and the probation department for a search of the home of Tyrone Castaldi on Emmett Lane in Happy Valley. Castaldi wasn’t home but deputies reported finding a stolen Hyosung motorcycle behind the house as well as a stolen “67 Ford Mustang. A loaded 30-30 rifle and ammunition were found in a shed. Castaldi is a convicted felon so he’s not supposed to have any guns. When deputies found Castaldi Tuesday afternoon he reportedly confessed to owning the rifle and possessing the stolen vehicles, and he was booked into jail.
