Reward For Info On Murder Increased To 10-Thousand Dollars

A reward has been doubled in hopes of stimulating leads in a one year old unsolved Redding murder case. At about 11:15PM the night of August 17th of last year, 9-1-1 callers reported shots fired at 3032 Bechelli Lane. The building houses Pluto’s Car Stereos and Don’s Sandwich Shop. Officers arrived 15 minutes later and found 67-year-old Edwin Phillips suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. In surveillance footage Phillips can be seen entering the business with an unknown man and then leaving a short time later.
