Fires Continue To Burn On National Forest Land

Although lightning fires have not been bad on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest and fires in Modoc County are nearly defeated, fires continue to expand in the steep rugged terrain and thick forests of the Klamath and Six Rivers National Forests.

4 raging lightning fires west of Happy Camp being managed together as the Eclipse Complex have grown to a total of more than 30,000 acres with just 19% overall containment.

The six fires of the Salmon Complex in the Marble Mountains west of Etna have burned about 5800 acres with 12% containment.

The Orleans Complex of 19 fires in the Six Rivers National Forest is around 8100 acres with overall containment of 51%.

The 3 fires of the Ruth Complex south of Ruth Lake in Trinity County is around 4700 acres with 80% containment.
