A motorcyclist died overnight in Shasta County. At around 10 O’clock the 55-year-old rider and his 47-year-old female passenger, both of Cottonwood, were on Ash Creek Road just south of Duikar Lane on a 2010 Harley-Davidson. As the southbound motorcycle made a slight curve the rider lost control of it and it turned over, ejecting both the man and the woman. He was declared dead at the scene and she was transported to Mercy Medical Center with moderate to major injuries.
