Man Found Guilty Of 2015 Shooting

A jury has found a Redding man guilty of a drive-by shooting. In August of 2015 Rakim Leedy was wearing a mask and carrying a gun when he threatened a man he didn’t know for an unknown reason in the street outside the victim’s home. The victim ran inside and armed himself with a rifle as Leedy drove by a fired a shot at the house. The victim returned fire. He gave a description to police and Leedy was arrested later that night wearing the same clothes. Photos on his cell phone showed him holding the gun described by the other man and records showed his phone was active in that neighborhood at the time of the shooting. Leedy will be sentenced September 27th.
