City To Host Another Workshop On Pot Legalization

A third workshop hosted by the City of Redding will be held to clarify the new decriminalized marijuana laws approved by voters last year. A workshop next week will focus on manufacturing and laboratory testing of marijuana as the state gears up for commercial marijuana sales at the start of the year. The free workshop will be moderated by City Attorney Barry Dewalt. Panelists will include a co-owner of Rucker’s Supply Company of Trinity County, a cannabis brand specializing in cannabis concentrates, as well as someone from Steep Hill Incorporated, a lab testing company out of Berkeley with offices in 8 states. Zoning and code enforcement issues will be addressed by Redding Development Services Director Larry Vaupel. The workshop is set for Monday the 11th from 2PM to 5PM in the Redding City Council Chambers. The presentation will also be televised live on the City of Redding website.
