A man who reportedly robbed the Dollar Tree store on Lake Boulevard last Friday has been captured, according to Redding Police. At 12:37PM Redding Police were called to the store after an employee said that a man had walked in and put some merchandise in his clothes before leaving the store. He was confronted by an employee and apparently brandished a gun at an employee before fleeing the store one foot. At the time officers were unable to locate the man, but through a follow up investigation they were able to identify him as 33-year-old Britton Michael Michener of Redding. On Sunday officers made contact with Michener and he matched the description of the alleged robber. Michener had warrants for his arrest and was booked into jail. On Monday officers said that had collected enough evidence to charge Michener with the robbery. Police say the firearm was not found.
